1. Who we are
Teksmobile is the trading name of Teknowledge Software Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom, with delivery teams in Australia, India, Sweden and South Korea. For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, Teknowledge Software Limited is the controller of personal data collected through this website and through enquiries you send us.
You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@teksmobile.com.
2. What we collect
2.1 The inquiry form
When you use the form on our contact page, we collect the information you enter: first name, last name, work email address, company name (optional), phone number (optional), the service you are interested in, an indicative budget range (optional) and your message.
The form also records the time the page was loaded, the address of the page you submitted from, and a hidden field used to detect automated submissions. Our web server and our content delivery provider may log your IP address and browser type for security purposes.
2.2 Email and other direct contact
If you email us, call us or message us, we keep the correspondence and any personal data it contains in order to respond and to keep a record of our dealings with you.
2.3 Job applications
If you apply for a role through our careers page, we collect your name, contact details, CV or profile, and anything else you choose to send. We use it only to assess your application and, with your permission, to contact you about future roles.
2.4 Interactive tools
Some pages contain calculators and assessments, such as the AI readiness assessment and the LLM cost calculator. Your answers are processed in your browser and may be saved in your browser's local storage so you can return to them. They are not sent to us.
2.5 Technical and analytics data
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are read and how the site performs. Where we do, we configure it to avoid identifying individuals and we do not use it for advertising. Our content delivery provider processes connection data, including IP addresses, to protect the site from attack.
3. How we use it and on what basis
| Purpose | Data | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry and preparing a proposal | Inquiry form, email | Steps at your request before entering a contract; our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries |
| Performing a contract with you or your organisation | Contact details, correspondence | Performance of a contract |
| Assessing job applications | Application data | Steps at your request before entering a contract; legitimate interests in recruiting |
| Keeping the website secure and preventing abuse | IP address, browser type, submission metadata | Legitimate interests in security |
| Understanding how the site is used | Aggregated analytics | Legitimate interests in improving the site |
| Complying with legal and accounting obligations | Contract and billing records | Legal obligation |
We do not send marketing newsletters, and we do not use your enquiry to add you to a mailing list. If we ever introduce marketing email, we will ask for your consent first and you will be able to withdraw it at any time.
4. How long we keep it
- Enquiries are stored in a private log on our server and in our business mailbox. We keep them for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so that we can pick up a conversation where it left off. If an engagement follows, the relevant records are kept for the life of the contract and for six years afterwards to meet legal and accounting requirements.
- Job applications are kept for the duration of the process and, with your permission, for up to 12 months afterwards. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
- Security logs are kept for a short, rolling period and then deleted automatically.
- Local storage in your browser stays until you clear it; we cannot access it.
5. Sharing and third parties
We do not sell personal data. We share it only as follows:
- Our own staff and contractors across our offices, who need it to respond to you or deliver work, under confidentiality obligations.
- Cloudflare, which provides the content delivery network and security services in front of this website and processes connection data, including IP addresses, to do so.
- Google Fonts, from which the site loads its typefaces. Your browser requests font files from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address and the page address. Google's privacy policy applies to that request.
- Our hosting and email providers, which store the inquiry log and mailbox on our behalf as processors.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it or to establish or defend legal claims.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
6. International transfers
We are a UK company with teams in Australia, India, Sweden and South Korea. Personal data you send us may be accessed by staff in those countries in order to respond to you or deliver work. Where a country is not covered by UK adequacy regulations, we rely on the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with practical safeguards such as access controls and confidentiality agreements.
7. Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage for:
- Theme preference, so the site remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.
- Tool answers, so calculators and assessments can restore your inputs.
Our content delivery provider may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site from automated abuse. If we introduce any cookie or technology that requires your consent, we will ask for it before it is set.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The inquiry log is stored outside the public web root with restricted access, submissions are rate-limited and screened for automated abuse, and access to our mailbox is protected by multi-factor authentication. Our engineers apply the same least-privilege and access-logging practices we recommend to clients, described in our AI data privacy and AI governance work.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased where there is no good reason for us to keep it;
- restrict or object to our processing, including any processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive the data you gave us in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@teksmobile.com. We respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, although we would welcome the chance to resolve the matter first.
10. Children
This website is intended for business users and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date at the top. Material changes to how we use enquiry data will be announced on the contact page.
